a space on my plate
May. 2nd, 2018 04:03 pmI am emerging out the backside of about 7 weeks (including about 6+ hours just today) of a freelance editing job that was a challenge in many ways. I just hit save, will let it sit overnight, give it a glance tomorrow morning and send it to the publisher. This will free up some morning time for what I'm terming my "preparatory work" necessary before taking a step toward a spiritual practice.
The group forming around https://williamwalkeratkinson.dreamwidth.org/ is very much aligned with what I'm wanting to do: "self-development through study and practice. We will be exploring WWA's work alongside several other authors who wrote about methods of disciplining the mind and body, and overcoming the various impediments to spiritual/personal development that our society has forced upon us."
Yup, pretty much.
Now, I'm gonna go out to the garden and try to reconnect with my body that's been neglected in favor of a huge, poorly written manuscript and a computer screen.
ps. if anybody knows the secret to making direct links to other dw users/groups, I'd love to know it.
